In August, 2009 the 3rd Saturday Paint Out group went to UC Davis Arboretum
The Arboretum occupies 100 acres of land along the south edge of campus, along the banks of the old north channel of Putah Creek.
We met at the arboretum gardens at the very western part of the arboretum. (White Flower Garden and Gazebo, item 2 which is near the Shields Oak Grove, item 1)- This area has a variety of vistas and RESTROOMS! There are garden type areas, a gazebo, and a stream is down past the lawns. People should be able to find a good spot in the shade. There was no fee. Great picnic spots.

We were on Main Street where we were welcomed to set up and paint. There is a restroom in the old school house, but it was locked.
We were able to park on crowed one way Main street. Painters were in the shade most of the day.
Martha Esch invited us to use her table downstairs in the garden area of her studio. She even found us a bathrom. Her daughter is selling ice cream treats for a cheerleader camp fundraiser also, and she has them in a freezer in the studio. and we availed ourselves.
